PitchBoulder is a community of entrepreneurs supporting Colorado’s startups by helping them refine their pitches and connect with mentors, investors, and business community.
Business Challenge
Our client needed to create a platform that catered to both entrepreneurs (pitchers) and organizers’ needs. Startupers required an intuitive platform to upload and share their presentation decks, register for events, and access event details. On the administrative side, organizers needed an efficient system to manage registrations, track submissions, review pitches, and provide feedback. The key challenge was to develop a fully functional, scalable website within a tight timeframe, ensuring all features were user-friendly, seamlessly integrated, and delivered a smooth experience across all devices.
Solution
Despite the tight timeline, we successfully delivered a fully operational web platform that allowed PitchBoulder to immediately begin collecting contact data and managing event registrations.
The website was designed with both functionality and scalability in mind, ensuring it meets the needs of organizers and startups while being able to handle increased traffic as their community grows. To achieve this, we used pre-designed templates with minor adjustments.

Client’s Goals
We used WordPress as the content management system, supported by PHP and MySQL for a stable, scalable backend. Elementor was used for flexible, visually appealing page designs, allowing us to create custom layouts with ease.
As part of the solution, AI was incorporated for efficient image generation. We also ensured seamless integration with essential tools like CRM and Google Docs, streamlining request management and enhancing workflow efficiency.
The design of the website prioritized simplicity and user experience, with a clean and easy-to-navigate interface that entrepreneurs can quickly understand.
Technical implementation
To handle event management, we integrated the Meetup plugin, ensuring seamless synchronization between PitchBoulder’s event calendar and the website. We also developed custom plugins to synchronize files with Google Drive, making it easy for startups to share and access presentations. We integrated Google Sheets to streamline data management, enabling the automatic organization of event registrations. Additionally, we configured Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics to track user interactions and provide valuable insights for future improvements. The registration process was simplified using Custom Forms 7, allowing for smooth event sign-up and contact collection.
